First 10 Years: After a year in Neopolis, which is spent helping Mason out with new mechas and his parents with remodeling various homes, he moves to Tokyo with Mason. They set up an underground lair in Akihabara, which they spent the next 9 years expanding as they make a name for themselves as crime lords (during this time Harvey also becomes fluent in Japanese). While Mason busily works on suits and branching out into armor, Harvey works on making contacts, hiring goons, taking control of a few large, local business, and even buying off a few Yakuza bosses and police captains. They rise quickly among the ranks of local crime syndicates, making it clear they have plans to be number one before too long. With Mason having faded into the background (which was, really, for the best as her people skills were still the same they had been back at the Academy) a slew of rumors about her popped up, ranging from strange to plain ridiculous (Harvey's favorite is that she's really an android, it kind of fits), but no one tries to set the record straight.
Second 10 Years: Rising as quickly as they were, the duo made a slew of enemies (from the people they'd already beaten, to the ones they were coming for next). One of which manages to get a bomb, through a regular shipment of their supplies, into the Lair. Faulty wiring set said bomb off early, in the am rather then the pm, causing considerably less damage then it was intended to. The Lair itself suffers serious damage, but only a handful of their minions die. Harvey wasn't there, but Mason practically lived in the Lair and suffered extensive injuries. Knowing any hospital in Tokyo would be unsafe, and couldn't offer treatment as cutting edge as Neopolis itself could, the duo rushed to their former home to get Mason help. Repairs on the Lair begin shortly after this, with Harvey returning immediately to oversee them (and their contractor's lovely daughter, Natsuki). During this time, before Mason returns, he and Natsuki have relations, and because he's not 100% (illogical as it is, he felt a bit guilty about not having been there to shield, or something) she becomes with child. Mason doesn't seem thrilled with the idea (he assumes she thinks he'll get mushy or spent too much time with the child, unaware of the real reason) and refuses to let him come along for her check-up in Neopolis a year after her surgeries, and during the trip she's fatally shot. Harvey flies in to do his duty as best friend and make sure her death is handled exactly as she wanted it (his mother, Jennifer, who pretty much loved Mason like a daughter, cries). And while he's in Neopolis, handling that, he runs into Agnes for the first time in 15 years. They have a drink and talk.
A month later, after the rebuild is officially finished, Natsuki has their daughter (January 5, 2024), whom Harvey promptly names Mason. Harvey and Natsuki get married shortly following this (March 22, 2024), though they don't do so out of love (at least they like one another though and both love their daughter). The next year is spent between his daughter (whom he finds himself quite smitten with) and finding someone to fill Mason's shoes for the technology side of things. It takes awhile, but eventually he finds a quiet, wickedly smart, if slightly manic man to fill the spot. The two are never friends, but they exists in a manner that works for them. Harvey remains the face of the operation, while Hiroaki works on new weapons and armor, staying behind the scenes even better then Mason herself had.
It's not long after this (2025) that he hires Agnes, needing magical assistance with a problem that won't go away. The organization has great machinery, probably some of the best, but they need a bigger edge, hence, more magic (because Harvey's the only one within said organization with magic on his side), and so Agnes gets a very nice, steady job. Working closely together, it only takes about a year before the two pretty much resume the relationship they had in high school, despite Harvey's married status (it's a loveless marriage, they rarely ever talk, he doesn't even feel badly). Meanwhile, baby Mason is showing signs of inheriting Harvey's magic, which is very unsettling to poor Natsuki.
Everything continues on as normal for the syndication. They continue to wipe out their enemies, buy off anyone who looks promising, and just get shit done. Then, in 2028, a group brags about the initial bombing which did so much damage to the Lair (and, in Harvey's mind, ultimately resulted in Mason's death). The next month each member of said group is found dead, becoming progressively more gruesome as they go on (have you seen the first Saw? Each murder was along those lines, except while they thought they had a potential for escape, they truly didn't), though the coroner in charge can't figure out how any of the damage was inflicted as there's no evidence left behind.
After That: The affair/friendship stays strong until Agnes leaves in 2032, not long after adopting her son, Kazuya, when she decides she'd rather raise him in Neopolis. It's only about 6 months later that Harvey, given the final push to do so when baby Mason causes trouble at school (Japan's school system is just not meant to handle a bratty 8 year old witch), and his daughter leave Natsuki and follow Agnes to Neopolis. Where they meld their strange little families together and live fairly happily ever after.
Mason Hachette Neopolis Academy, Magic. Class of 2043.
After the adjustment period, Mason practically falls in love with Neopolis. She grows out of her bratty stage into an interesting, if somewhat dorky, young lady. Focused, like her father, but chill, like her mother (Agnes, not Natsuki, whom Mason feels never truly accepted her). She tends to be a bit quiet in large crowds, but the life of the party with her friends. Like her name sake, she takes an interest in mechanics (less cars, more lasers though), but then again, she spent most of your early childhood in a lab, surrounded by such things, so what do you expect? At the academy she spends as much time in the Science faculty as she does the Magic.
