Give me one of my characters and one of yours, and I'll tell you how they end up together and what their first-born is like, even if they are unqualified to have children. I'll try to do PBs, too!

Do whoever/as many as you like, idrc. Just know I'll be slow and will probably not do them in order (which does not reflect how well I like you or the characters, okay, just who I got an idea for first).

Akiko/Kyohei!

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]taz_means_crazy
2009-10-29 05:19 pm UTC (link)
Friends all throughout their years at Genkan, the two kept in touch after graduation. Mostly by email as they were often both busy traveling (Akiko for various film locations and premiers, Kyohei feeding his wanderlust and occasionally joining his father/starting his own photography career). Unlike most friends who don't see one another often, who's letters become shorter and less personal, theirs seemed to become longer. Kyohei would write her about all the adventures he was having, all the interesting people, muggle and wizard, he'd met and in return Akiko would write him about the beautiful locations she filmed in, the crazy antics of the other stars she worked with and weird fan encounters.

When their paths finally overlapped again, they ended up spending almost all their time together. At the end of the two weeks, when it was finally time for them to part ways again, their friendship, which had been slowly shifting, was given that final kick by a stray kiss. There was a slightly different tone to the emails after that and before long the two were finding ways to make their paths cross more often. If she had a break in filming, she'd fly out to visit him. If he had a few weeks free he'd find himself looking for an adventure in her latest location. It wasn't long before their pictures were splashed all over the tabloids and then, a few months after their first appearance, Akiko was placed on bumpwatch. When it came out she was, in fact, with child, many expected them to get married on the spot, but they did not (mostly for that very reason). She finished up the premier tour for her latest movie, then took a short break from movies to join Kyohei at his latest location.

Nakata Shou

Eiji Wentz icons by [info]yourfacehere

Was born a month later and instantly cherished by his parents and all of his parents friends and family. Shou was an unbelievably happy baby, almost always smiling and cooing at everyone. He didn't really fuss or cry (unless you left him alone, but even then it was more of a sad little whine then full-out wailing). Since neither parent was quite ready to end or change their career, nor did they want to be away from their family, they struck a balance. Akiko got pickier with her role choices and when she found one she couldn't pass up, the boys joined her on set/location. When they weren't busy filming they were traveling for Kyohei's photography (though he had taken to photographing the different locations they went for filming). Until it was time for Genkan, Shou was homeschooled. And much like Kyohei during long vacations he would join his parents on their travels (though they did have a home in Japan, they weren't often there).

As Shou got older it became more and more apparent that he'd inherited his father's easy-going nature, not to mention both parents kind hearts. Outgoing as all get out, he was always chatting away with any and everyone. He also became a bit of a ham as he got older, luckily his smile is beyond infectious. He'd embraced a love of all things creative and unique, due to the way he was raised, and was sorted into his mothers house. However it wasn't his mothers passion he claimed as his own but his godmother, Mimi's. By the time he was in his seventh year he'd taken over the mantel she'd once held as art club president.

Haha, I am trying to imagine the sad state of one of Kyohei's long letters to her. "I saw blue today! I know blue is blue, but today I saw REAL BLUE! So much blue! It was awesome!"

It would have been a shame if they'd had a sad baby.

It started with a series of half-dates and though neither really treated it any differently then they had their friendship they fell into an on/off relationship. Because of their habit to slide in and out of friends/more then friends, even their closest friends had trouble keeping track of when they were together and when they weren't.

Over the next few years they would date other people, but in the end they always seemed to find themselves back together. It wasn't until an annoyed Mason (who'd long gotten over her feelings when a sweet, if slightly quirky, mechanic weaseled his way into her heart instead) pointed out what dumbasses they both were that he considered why they always ended up back together. Their next date, about a week later, he decided he was going to lay it all on the table. Except she beat him to the punch with news of her own. About three months prior they'd had a mishap with a condom and were well on their way to becoming parents. About a month after that Harvey asked her to move in with him, but still hadn't told her he loved her (he didn't want her to think it was about the baby, okay). They welcomed their bouncing baby girl into the world about 5 months later.

Hailee Hachette

Olivia Thirlby icons by [info]peristyle

About two minutes after her birth little Hailee had Harvey completely wrapped around her fingers. A trend that would keep up pretty much the rest of her life. Hailee wasn't a complete brat by any means but she was a little high maintenance. More prone to pouting, stomping her foot, or making stern faces at her parents then screaming and having hysterics. As she got older she mellowed out some, though she can still be high maintenance, and most of the time she's as fun loving and silly as they come. However she's prone to curse you, while swearing like a sailor, if you wrong her.

While Hailee was the first female in the Hachette line to inherit magic, she also inherited her mothers abilities. She is, however, happy to say she has much more control over who summons her then her mother did. There's no dramatic ritual steps that must happen, just someone who truly needs a fairy godmother. Although she does sprinkle fairy dust EVERY WHERE (literally every time a wing twitches there is glitter on the floor).

lol, Odie + Clarence

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]taz_means_crazy
2009-11-01 04:55 pm UTC (link)
It started when Clarence agreed to help Odie with her magic. It was the first time Odie has ever gotten an A+ in a class before and after that she asked him for homework help all the time. They ended up spending a ton of time together because of it which lead to a friendship that lasted after the two had graduated Neopolis and went on to their respective hero careers (because Clarence was ultimately wooed to join the BHH by all the cute girls).

They would have lunch together every couple weeks, at least, and always chatted and danced at big functions. Clarence was, of course, still a sweet boy and Odie still had a habit of forming crushes on her friends, so it wasn't long before she had one on him as well. Nothing serious, mind you, but it did come into play one night, after one of these events, when the two were both, well, drunk. It started with a less then perfect, more then friendly kiss. Which lead to a shared cab, and then an invitation to come upstairs. Needless to say it was an awkward morning after. Actually, the friendship was pretty awkward for the next few months, and then, just as it was getting it's groove back, things got more awkward. As it turned out their casual, drunken encounter resulted in a baby. Since the two weren't in love they never wed (each other, I mean. Both went on to get married and have more children), but they did move in next door to each other.

Mac (Madalyn Alyssa Cook)

Cheyenne Kimball icons by [info]icondust

Mac inherited basically all of her parents adorableness and is possibly the worlds biggest klutz with a new crush almost daily. She shares her father's love of cooking (but not of cleaning) and her mother's love of all things adorable. Unlike the two of them, and despite her klutz status (the only time she is even remotely graceful is when she's playing soccer or flying on a broom), she's the biggest flirt you'll ever meet.

Overall Mac is a gifted Witch, especially at protective tailsmans. But basically anything of a protective nature she's got in the bag. She's also got her mom's psychic vibe about situations, though it comes in the form of dreams and is more obvious then Odie's every was. She's very much BHH and just wants to help people.

Uh, duh, Nick/Greta!

(Reply to this) (Thread)

2009-11-02 11:33 am UTC (link)
After graduating, Greta decided to take off. Leaving her friends wasn't an appealing option, but she needed to get away from Neopolis for a little bit. The opportunity came when Fergus' revealed his new band was going on tour and could use some extra hands. About a month into the tour, for the first time in their relationship, Greta and Nick did something a normal couple does. They split up. It even stuck for awhile. Long enough for both to hook-up with other people and even think they were over the other.

While they'd bumped into each other occasionally, usually when Greta was home visiting, they hadn't really talked in months. But during a break in the tour Greta was invited to join a group for an insane trip that involved rafting, rock climbing, and cliff diving, the sort of trip she knew Nick would have loved, and so despite any awkwardness, she invited him. Being in each others presence in such a way again resparked the fire, but both ignored it. After all, when the trip was over Greta would return to the tour (which still had a few months to go) and Nick would return to Neopolis.

Except it was different this time. They sent texts back and forth for one, seemed to talk on an almost nightly basis. For another, they showed a remarkable lack of interest in resuming their pre-trip dating lives. Without meaning to or talking about it, they two had basically restarted their relationship. Of course it wasn't until the end of the tour, when Greta finally returned to Neopolis for good and threw herself into Nick's arms just like she's done many times throughout their relationship, that she'd realized it. Nick, however, had always been less oblivious to these things and was already well aware.

The first couple months were, admittedly, a little rocky, but it didn't take long for the two to slide back into their exciting and strange relationship. Before they noticed almost two years had gone by and they weren't even a little sick of one another. The two continued to go on trips all around the world to indulge in risky behavior, during one of which they decided to do the craziest thing yet. They got married. Very spur of the moment in a small, private ceremony. Even married the two were as ridiculous as ever and made no apologies for it.

Eventually they decided they were ready to start a family. Greta's doctor informed them their chances of reproduction were slim and so instead of worrying about it and making themselves unnecessarily stressed, they turned to adoption. It wasn't long before they met the most adorable little cat-girl and fell in love. By the time they brought one year old Andrea home Greta was just starting to notice something off with her body. It turns out they really mean it when they say you get pregnant when you stop trying (and to add another layer of surprise to the situation she was carrying twins).

Andie (Andrea Klotho McCaffery)

Rachael Leigh Cook icons by [info]chthonicons

If Andie doesn't like you, or doesn't want to do whatever you're talking about, she can ignore you like an old pro. It's a common feline trait after all. As a young child she grew a fondness for climbing up to any and every high spot in the house for cat naps, then leaping off just because she would land on her feet. She tends to be pretty easygoing, a good thing since Gideon had a habit of pulling her tail most of his younger years. When you really piss her off/back her into a corner/fuck with her family her claws can and will come out, but any other time she's one of the friendliest people you'll meet.

Just a few short months later the twins were born.

Gideon (Gideon Eros McCaffery)

Michael Pitt icons by [info]embargo

Of all their children, Gideon is the quietest. On his own he doesn't tend to be very adventurous, but his sisters and friends can easily talk him into things. Usually when he gets into trouble it's because Kenzie or someone else has drug him into it. He doesn't have Nick's natural charm with girls, but they seem to like his sweet, broody nature just the same (plus he's pretty damn good with a guitar). He's inherited many of Greta's Gothic features, though his scales are a lighter color and less noticeable and he also has the benefit of normal ears and no webbing between his fingers.

Kenzie (Mackenzie Irene McCaffery)

Willa Holland icons by [info]embargo

Kenzie is easily the most like her parents, though a little more like Nick. Which remains true in regards to her abilities as well (she has a few smatterings of thin scales, but for the most part she's inherited his string magic). More importantly she's forever getting herself into trouble of some kind and quite a few cops know her by name. She's never done anything that put other people in danger or anything, she just tends to get easily bored and hates sitting still. She tends to take absolutely nothing seriously and tends to be at every party on campus, no matter who's throwing it. Also, she's best friends with Scott & Toni's daughter.

Akiko and either Jing or Taka, your choice.

Akiko/Jing
[info]taz_means_crazy
2009-11-02 12:03 pm UTC (link)
Despite having Mimi between them, Jing and Akiko never got especially close. Oh sure, they talked occasionally, but never about anything overly important. But when Hoshi went missing near the end of the school year, it was Jing who found and brought him back to a very worried Akiko. In her gratitude she pretty much insisted he join her for a cup of tea, he gave in without a fight.

At this point Hoshi, who'd been comically trying to woo one of the female cats in the school, was annoyed with his mistress and climbed up onto her shelves. He knocked a little of a powerful herb mix into the steeping tea without either human taking notice until it was far, far too late. After a few polite sips the room was suddenly warmer to both of them. Then they found the didn't want/couldn't look away from one another. Two empty tea cups later and Akiko and Jing found themselves in a passionate lip lock, despite the fact that neither quite understood why it was happening. Just that they couldn't/didn't want it to stop, which it didn't. By the time the accidental potion had released them from it's gripe they'd already finished up.

Neither planned to every think about it again. It was all the magic and there was no need to bring it up for any reason. Except a couple months later and Akiko was beginning to show. Fast forward a few more months and they two were gifted with a baby girl from the awkward, magically influenced evening together.

Xiang Maiko

Keiko Lynn Groves icons by [info]embargo

Despite her.. less then expected conception, Akiko and Jing instantly adored their baby girl. The two of them weren't really any closer then they had been before, but they did everything they could to make sure her life was good.

Maiko seemed to take after both parent fairly evenly. She had her mothers outgoing nature, though she's much quieter, her desire to be noticed and liked and her fathers love of animals and modest nature. There's absolutely nothing she likes more then animals, magical and normal, and much to her mothers chagrin she is constantly bringing home strays. And it came as absolutely no surprise to any of them when young Maiko was sorted into Inari.

BECAUSE I KNOW YOU LOVE ME: Harvey/Mason! XDD

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]taz_means_crazy
2009-11-24 10:52 am UTC (link)
It happened years after they'd graduated, in the middle of their hostel take-over of Tokyo (a sort of revenge for demolishing them years before, you could say). There was no big moment, no instant realization that they were in love with each other -in all honesty, their relationship hadn't changed all that much over the years- actually most people still weren't 100% if they even liked one another. But that night they were riding on the high of dominating a large, powerful city -there may have also been a few celebratory shots between them- and one thing led to another.

Needless to say, the two friends (because despite their odd relationship, they are friends. Best friends, even, as weird as that may seem) decided the best course of action was to ignore that it ever happened. Mason had long since become a pro at that, Harvey however, not so much. Try as he might, he couldn't stop seeing Mason as a girl now, VERY unsettling after years of seeing her in just the opposite light. To make things even weird, they discovered a few months later that the night had ended with a child.

Henry Hachette-Marbury

Ryan Sypek icons by hollow-art

Fast forward a few more months and they're welcoming their son into the world. After a long, heated fight, they finally settled on his name. To be perfectly honest, neither of them were very good with the baby. Not that they didn't try, or didn't love the boy, they just weren't instantly amazing parents. It was fine though, the hired a nanny (similar to the one Harvey had as a child, actually, who could double as a magic tutor) and learned as they went. Eventually the baby became a child, which suited them both much better.

Henry, surprisingly enough, grew up to be a pretty well balanced, genuinely friendly guy. He doesn't work on cars or mechas, like Mason, but he is very hands on and can often be found in the shed (set up just for him, to keep him out of the garage where Mason's things were [b/c Harvey and Mason share a house, even if they aren't in a relationship, it just made the most sense]) tinkering with old microwaves and building lasers. While his interest in magic never reached the same level as Harvey's, he did his best to learn about it, if only so he could best use it in his everyday life. Oh, and he's a bit of a jock, playing basketball all through high school and trade school.

Harvey and Brand

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]taz_means_crazy
2009-11-24 10:57 am UTC (link)
Bored with his current projects, Brand decided to take his experiments to the next level. He needed a live tissue sample, just a simple cheek swab, and Harvey happened to be around waiting for Mason at the time. Fairly used to the Science kids asking for random things such as cheek swabs, he didn't even blink at the request, just gave his consent then continued on with his waiting. It was such a small, unsubstantial thing, Harvey simply didn't think about it again. Brand, however, went off to make a baby (after gathering another, female, sample of course), planning to study the tissues genetics as it grew, hoping to pinpoint exactly when and what made it different then a non-powered sample.

Not quite in the plan however was the tissue sample actually growing into a full blown child. It was fine at first, the baby was quiet and still a useful test subject. But by the time the boy was three Brand had moved on with his projects and had no desire to raise a child. And so he dropped the tot off with Harvey, who was technically his biological father anyways.

Subject 215 / Harrison Hachette

Jesse Bradford icons by [info]twatty

As you can imagine, Harvey was pretty shocked by this turn of events, but decided to keep and raise the child. For the first few years of his new life Harrison was quiet, kept to himself. He mostly read (usually Harvey's magic texts), which was alright with Harvey since it meant he and Mason could work in peace. After a while he would only read half the time they worked, the other half was spent watching them and asking questions. More on Mason's end then Harvey's.

Before long it wasn't just magical text he always had with him, but a sketchbook filled with half drawn Gundam designs and scribbled notes for ideas to ask Mason about. Much to Harvey's amusement/horror Harrison had decided Mason was beyond cool at some point and that he wanted to be more like her. By the time Harrison had become a teen he'd become a gifted mechanic, using his magic to restore junk parts. More then that though years of spending time with Mason seemed to bring out his smartass side, making him a bit of a class clown. but to make thinks even better, he'd become a little girl crazy and the type of guy who would do just about anything to impress a pretty girl too.

Greta/Regina :>

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]taz_means_crazy
2009-11-24 01:11 pm UTC (link)
The night started innocently enough. The week had gone by with nothing worth noting, there had been no swarm of zombies, no truth OR love potions, not even a prank, and so a whole group of girls headed to the mainland for a GNO. Among the girls in the group were Greta and Regina, dancing, drinking, just having an all around good time. As the night finally started to die down, the two fairly tipsy friends shared a cab back to the academy. Giggling and holding each other up, they made it back to Regina's room. When they saw Tuesday wasn't around, the fell into Regina's bed, giggling, and decided to keep talking for awhile longer.

At some point, in their drunken state, they got on the topic of sex. Curiosity about being a girl was admitted, and just like there was a hesitant kiss. Followed by another. Before long both girls dresses were laying in piles on the floor. Unfortunately for them a fellow magic student, a first year at that, was busy playing with their potions, trying out magic too advanced for them and things went a bit..awry. While a pregnancy between the two of them should have been impossible, this particular spell packed a powerful, fertile, punch and seeked the first couple having sex. When it found the two of them, instead of finding a more suitable couple the spell just made it work. The results of this magical mishap? The girls both ended up with child, each child one half Regina's DNA and one half Greta's DNA.

Xan or Mo {Alexander Jomo Ivanova-Regardie}

Robert Schwartzman icons by [info]icondust

Alexander was the first of the twins (as the girls had taken to calling them) to be born, exactly 11 minutes before his sister. From the beginning he was calmer and easier to please then his sister. Give him his xylophone or fake laptop and he was good for hours. Whenever Regina would tune into the history channel, or listen to podcast, he'd plop down by her feet and become engrossed. By the time he was seven he had built his own computer, mostly successfully at that! Although, to be fair, he did have a bit of help from the computer itself (in case that isn't clear, Xan is a technopath!).

While most of his interest were on the geekier side of things (electronics of all types, sci-fi movies, the arcade, the history channel & podcast [tysm mom]), his tendency to be sarcastic and Ren's influence kept him from falling completely off the grid (she drug him to parties, concerts, and the like) or becoming, as so many geeky guys are prone to do, in the least bit shy. It's very difficult to be shy when your sister is constantly a) being embarrassing (starting from a young age) b) throwing strangers in your face to interact with and c) forcing you to talk on the phone with her crazy friends.

Ren or Zune {Lauren Zuna Regardie-Ivanova}

Lights icons by [info]embargo

As you might have guessed, Ren is by far the louder, more energetic of the twins. She shares her mother's Gothicness, however two things differ; 1) she has scales, however they really only cover her back and wrap around her sides and while her toes are webbed, her fingers are not. 2) unlike her mother, she can actually communicate with the fish (and other aquatic life) she swims with (yes, Greta is a little jealous about this, don't judge her :|).

Unlike Xan, she finds the History channel boring, but kind of likes the Discovery channel and occasionally the Science channel. Usually, however, she can be found watching the Travel channel (what she and Greta did when Xan & Regina were watching THC, actually) or food network. And while you might assume, because she's the one who drags Xan to parties and concerts, that she was cool, she's not really. TBH she's just as into the arcade and sci-fi movies (though she likes action a lot too) as Xan, if not occasionally more. She's just really energetic and easy to like. Plus music is her number one, no jokes about it, love.
